about.
Andrew Gitzy Design Interiors has a portfolio of over 30 completed single-family
and 3–60-unit residential developments with a cumulative value >$300M as well
as offices, commercial spaces, and private residences.
Informed by his background in set and costume design, Andrew approaches projects from a storytelling perspective: defining who the owners or potential buyers are—how they see themselves, how they might want to live—and translating that into a design that serves the space as well as the budget, comfort, and lifestyle of the client. His personal aesthetic embraces eclectic influences from mid-century modern to boho, contemporary pieces to street finds.
Andrew Gitzy Design Interiors has received two Building Brooklyn awards from the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce: for Adaptive Reuse of 156 Broadway in Williamsburg and for Neighborhood Commercial Development for his Brookland Capital office design in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Andrew is also a successful writer and editor in academic publishing. When not designing for others, he enjoys renovating his 1875
Federal-style townhouse in Hudson, NY.
